Charmed, I’m Sure explores my identification with the role of the Prince in fairy tales. In the fantasy space of my pin-hole camera images, I insert myself as a butch lesbian into the traditions of fairy tales and Pictorialist photography (just a stretch from Juliet Margaret Cameron?). Through a process of performance and play, I come up against questions related to personal, psychic, political, and historical struggles over identity and subjectivity.
